All of the tornadoes were spawned from the same parent storm but all lifted and reformed causing discontinuous damage. The city has 14 outdoor warning sirens that are activated for three reasons: when a tornado warning is issued, when the National Weather Service confirms there is wind greater than 70 miles per hour and theres the presence of hail with a diameter of one inch or greater.
